The tools that our group used to create and deliver the professional development tutorial was: PowerPoint, Audacity and Camtasia. These tools allowed us to create a professional-looking video by adding sound and movement to our slides, and then record the final product to be viewed easily by others. During the development process I learned that it can be challenging coming up with a tool that all group members have, because there are different operating systems we had to divide the work up differently than we might have if everyone had the same tools. The disadvantages of the tools that we used were: not everyone had PowerPoint, so the creation was a little more difficult, and Camtasia is only a 30 day trial offer, so we need to have it created before the trial ran out. I think that Camtasia is a tool that I need to invest in, because of its compatibility with PowerPoint. If I was to do a group project similar to this again I would want to make sure that when the groups are formed all of the members have the same operating system. It is very hard to create a project when the creators have different tools to work with. Our group could have used a cloud based tool, but we thought that PowerPoint had the tools that we needed.
